Tips and tricks:
Cap the frame rate/potentially improve frame times (1): Download RivaTuner Statistics Server, input your desired framerate limit in the 'Framerate limit' box, and hit enter (the program comes bundled with MSI Afterburner and earlier versions of EVGA PrecisionX). Alternatively, those with an Nvidia GPU have the option of Nvidia Inspector, which can also be used to impose a framerate cap, either in a similar manner to RTSS or by way of forcing a different vsync interval (click the small tool icon to open the game profile section).
Note: Useful if you your system can't maintain, say, 60fps and you're sensitive to the wild fluctuations, or you're experiencing uneven frametimes. The greater window the engine has to render a given frame, if you're imposing a lower framerate than the game can otherwise provide, may also help in alleviating stuttering related to data streaming.
Potentially improve frame times (2): Use exclusive fullscreen rather than borderless fullscreen.
Stop the game from crashing after 15 minutes on touch-capable systems running Windows 10: Open the task manager, switch to the Services tab and disable TabletInputService.
Enable G-Sync support in borderless window mode: Follow the instructions here. (Credit to Kaldaien @ Steam Community, Aemony @ Steam Community, and Knurek.)

Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac AGe keeps all features, adds more in a single cartridge without any download required
Hey all, I've had my hands on a copy of the game for 20 hours now and since there were some confusions considering there were some issues with previous FF ports, I wanted to have a bit of a summary post to explain the quality of this port.
First of all, the PS4 remaster was 40GB whereas the Switch port is 13GB while keeping all the content present in the original remaster and adding new features. Huge work of compression from Virtuous, especially since FF12 is a big game.
Unlike the FFX remaster on Switch, there isn't any visual downgrades in texture work and anisotropic filtering. Visual comparisons with PS4 are pretty much similar across the board. Solid performance with no frame drops too. I do not know the actual resolution of the game, but it does look sharp on my (small) TV and on handheld, it all looks quite sharp.
Unlike its predecessors, all features are also retained + more:
- Dual audio is included
- French, English, Spanish, Italian, German, Korean, Chinese and Japanese text is included
- Fast-forward 2x and 4x are still there if you want to have some quick grinding sessions
- The map can be toggled to be visble during gameplay by clicking on the left stick
- Trial mode is still there (gauntlet of 100 battles ramping up in difficulty)
- You can choose from three different OSTs (Original, CD Album OST, and Reorchestrated)
- NEW: The Sky's Pirate Den has been re-added! Only available through a patch before, that was my biggest beef
- NEW: You can reset your job in order to get another one, all your LP are refunded at no cost, so no agonizing over which jobs to choose
- NEW: 3 Gambit sets you can switch out in order to have different strategies for each character
- NEW: New game+ now allows you to keep your inventory like weapons, magic, gils, if you somehow want to have 99 Zodiac Spears
- Obviously you can also open any chests without losing that Zodiac Spear, there is almost no missable in this game now

The first print run of the game will have reversible sheets with art from legendary art designers Akihiko Yoshida (FF12, NieR Automata) and Hideo Minaba (FF12, FF9).
It's also the same build across the board, so buying the digital japanese version that is already out is the exact same as buying the US version that is coming out on the 30th. I don't know why the releases are staggered
Hope it helps if you've been on the fence, or you wanted to know if there were any issues like the previous Switch ports. It's a strong conversion and FFXII on the toilet while farming Dustia is a dream come true.
EDIT: omitted Chinese language support, it is added now
