I've had the Stones Throw Greenhouse since it was released, and I find it to be a quite a useful set. The fertilising station actually grows and produces faster (twice a day) and you can talk to and fertilise your plants all at once. There's also some nice CAS stuff, matching furniture and of course the build mode pieces.

- edited September 2013I have a veeery big problem, please somebody help!
I downloaded the Stones Throw Greenhouse Winter Band-aid and installed but it is disappeared from the 'Installed content' section when I start the game. Can not be found in the game too.0 - edited September 2013If you just bought/downloaded the greenhouse, then there is no 'bandaid.' The roof pieces were updated many months ago. You do need to make sure you put a flat roof on your greenhouse before your put the roof pieces on though if you want it to keep out the weather. So in this case, you just need to download the venue itself.
This doe not sound like what you are saying but your bandaid reference has me a little confused so I thought I'd make sure.
Venues and content not showing up in game is a completely seperate and different issue with the game. WHen you try to download and re-install the greenhouse again, dows it say that it is already installed or does it re-install it but then just not show up? There are different solutions to try for each type of problem.
I would start a new thread in (store)technical area with something in your title about venue not staying installed as you will be most likely to receive answers that can help you most there. You want at least in your title about the venue not installing, as many people have had issues with their venues not installing/staying installed properly, and you will get the most attention for your issue that way.
You will probably want to go into a little more detail about what you did to install it and all, as well. Like is it a new download from the store or an old one saved in a folder on your computer somewhere? Are you patched up to the latest store/game patch level? Did you remove mods/CC? Did you try making a clean folder? Are you on a Win/Mac? And so forth, really as much information as you can give can save time as then people will have to ask you less questions and can get right onto giving you advice.
I personally have venues that won't show up in game, though their content does show up. When I attempted to make the venues show up too, then I lost both the venues and content so I chose to restore to when the content would at least show up. There are work-arounds for me to get the copies of the venues into my game as well but I have not bothered to do those steps myself yet as I can build my own venues.
Good Luck! - edited September 2013The band aid is in Simgurucopeland's studio, it is on the exchange not the store.0

Ok, the problem is half solved. I can use SimGuruCopeland's greenhouse in the game. But I have a new problem. The greenhouse what I built 'doesn't works'.
If I build a new greenhouse, the rainfall (specially the snow) goes through the glass roofs.
As opposed to this in SimGuruCopeland's greenhouse can be to produce in winter also. - edited September 2013You need to put floor tiles on top of the room, before you place the pieces.
- edited December 2013So it wasn't really fixed at all then, very disappointing

I suppose if you don't want to put a roof on it then you could say that. I prefer to add the roof tiles and have fun with it. My plants don't go dormant and I can have lots of snow and harvest all I want all the time.
https://youtube.com/channel/UCuW44b3uCMtCSaq4gwC8EZg/playlists - edited December 2013I don't understand why anyone would consider this not fixed still? Put a roof under your roof pieces, it is part of the building process for using any of the roof pieces (which are just decor, after all).
If you are referring to not being able to plant in the ground inside a greenhouse without cheats, well, you can't do that in the base game either and all store content is based on the base game. The pots work great, I use them constantly. As well, you can use the new 'grass rugs' is you have ITF and color them like dirt if you really want the look of dirt (and you have ITF, of course).
I have rarely, if ever, seen a greenhouse that plants into a dirt floor, though I know some of these do exist in warmer climates. From my POV, the greenhouse we were given was just not intended to be that type of greenhouse. I really don't see why this is such an issue. :?:
Just because many of us, myself included, assumed that the greenhouse would work like the Sims 2 one, doesn't mean it was ever intended to or could (different game engine). I would say, at this point, with the rain/snow fix, that the greenhouse is working as intended. - edited December 2013What about the best of 2012 Compilation, we have to delete that also? it has the greenhouse with it!

I would imagine that the greenhouse packaged with the compilation is fine. I don't remember when it came out, but it was probably after this fix. I think the compilation is how I got my greenhouse set too, and when I built one a while back it seemed to work fine. Before you go and uninstall/reinstall anything, try building a small, simple greenhouse to test it out for a few days of winter and snow in game, and if it works, go ahead and build something more elaborate if you want. Just don't forget to put down floor tiles on the top floor/ceiling of the greenhouse, and then put the glass roof pieces on top of those, like others have said before. Happy building! :-) - edited December 2013I thought this was fixed already, I remember removing the old set and putting in the new set during the summer. What is different now?
Goodness, I have 5 lots with those pieces in it. My community garden lot works fine with those pieces right now.Nothing to see. I don't even care about the forums. - edited December 2013The last time SimGuruCopeland updated his original post was February, and the thread title is the same it's always been. I don't think there IS an update. :hunf: 13/12 is referring to December 13th, not December 2013. I'm pretty sure this is just last year's fix being bumped up again.
- edited December 2013Oops. Thanks, I looked at the dates wrong and forgot to check the update posted dates. I need to go to bed.Nothing to see. I don't even care about the forums.
- edited March 2014I downloaded the greenhouse when it was on sale. When I go to the link it promts me to buy it again. Will I need to spend another $15 to get a fixed greenhouse?
- edited March 2014No, don't pay again. If someone else can't help you call or live chat with EA but don't spend more money, no one else did.

I have no idea when you downloaded the greenhouse. But it has been fixed since a few weeks after it was first released. So unless you bought it a long time ago and haven't updated it yet, you won't benefit from downloading it again. It is updated if you can place a flat roof to keep out the weather and the greenhouse roof decor makes the flat roof clear when it is placed on top of it.
However you do need to do something about it not showing as owned by you. You will need to contact customer support for that. But before contacting customer support clear your browser history ANC close then reopen the browser and see if it now shows as owned.
